Were you looking for information about Botulism? Botulisme is a common misspelling of botulism.

Botulism is a serious but rare disease that can lead to paralysis or death. It is caused by toxins produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which affect people by preventing certain nerves from functioning, resulting in muscle paralysis. Foodborne botulism, wound botulism, and infant botulism are the three main types of this illness. The earliest symptoms may include double vision, slurred speech, and difficulty swallowing. Treatment for the condition often involves careful observation, supportive care, and an antitoxin.
