In people with Behcet's disease, canker sores or ulcers repeatedly occur in the mouth and on the genitals. Parts of the eye can also become inflamed. Other possible symptoms include:
- Arthritis
- Skin problems
- Inflammation of the brain, spinal cord, and digestive tract.
Although scientists know that the condition results when blood vessels become inflamed, the exact cause of Behcet's is unknown. Treatment involves medication, mild exercise, and rest.
