Information on Leprosy

Leprosy is a highly contagious disease that has been documented for thousands of years. It is caused by a bacterium, and the effects can be apparent throughout the body, especially the skin, nerves, and mucous membranes. There are two different types, and treatment will be based on the kind of leprosy a person has and what symptoms they are experiencing. Antibiotics play a crucial role in treatment, as does supportive care.
