Sarcoidose

Were you looking for information about Sarcoidosis? Sarcoidose is a common misspelling of sarcoidosis.

Sarcoidosis is a disease in which inflammation occurs in various organs in the body, producing tiny lumps of cells (granulomas) that grow and clump together. If many granulomas form in an organ, such as the lungs or liver, they can affect how the organ works. The cause of sarcoidosis is unknown, but doctors think that it may result when your immune system overreacts to some kind of foreign substance. The main treatment for this condition is prednisone, a corticosteroid or anti-inflammatory drug.
