Treatment for Sjogren's Syndrome

Since there is, at present, no cure for the disease, treatment for Sjogren's syndrome is generally focused on providing relief from symptoms and complications. Symptoms vary for each person and can affect different areas of the body aside from the mouth and eyes (the most common areas affected). Therefore, treatment for Sjogren's syndrome varies accordingly, but may include moisture-replacement therapies, certain medications, or surgery.

Treatment for Sjogren's Syndrome: An Introduction

There is no known cure for Sjogren's syndrome, nor is there a specific treatment for Sjogren's syndrome that can restore gland secretion. Therefore, treatment is generally focused on providing relief of symptoms and complications.
